Club Gym

The new state of the art St. Mary’s College RFC Rugby gym is proving to be a huge success with the senior, junior and under 20 sides in the club.
The new gym at Templeogue, which was opened in 2007 by then club President Frank Kennedy, is being used by players across all grades.
The gym is also available to all members and one on one introductory sessions are available by contacting gym supervisor Will Heffernan.
First Team fitness advisor Will says that the facility is a huge addition to the club and is comparable with facilities available to the top rugby teams anywhere.
Up until the opening of the gym, the players had been training in the Carlisle gym. This new facility has created a bond between all of the team players from different teams as well as one or two of the alicks!!
Heffernan said: "It's a dream come true from our perspective. We've some top of the line facilities that really allow the players to maximise there potential and develop their muscle mass effectively."
The new facility was designed after viewing several top class training facilities all over the world and was made specific to the needs of St. Mary’s College Rugby.
"We looked at a lot of different facilities throughout Ireland and consulted with the players and management about the type of machines that we would incorporate."
For more information, call into the gym any weekday evening after six and ask for Will or contact him at willheffernan@gmail.com
